“Rotary members gain an understanding of humanitarian issues and have a significant impact on them through international service projects and exchange programs of Rotary International and its foundation. The promotion of peace is one of Rotary’s highest objectives.”

Join the Garner Rotary Club

Would you like a free meal on us?  If you meet the Requirements for Membership, we’d like to have you attend a weekly meeting to get to know us better.  If your interested, drop us a line at Rotaryclubofgarner@gmail.com

Today, the Garner Rotary Club is made up of city and community leaders, medical and dental practitioners, business owners and local executives all from within Garner and the surrounding area.

In most instances, a prospective member is invited to attend several meetings.  At that point, the prospective member is asked to join by a current member.  The current member will submit a Membership Proposal Form to the current President on behalf of the prospective member.  More information can be found at here.

At the next club meeting, the President will announce that the prospective member has been proposed for membership.  At the following club meeting, a simple majority vote will be taken.

At that point, the new member will be invited to attend the next meeting where their new membership status will be announced. We ask that the new member fill out the Garner Rotary Club New Member Form.

Several times a year, the Membership Committee offers a new member orientation meeting that offers greater detail about Rotary and the Garner Club.  Also, at some point we’ll ask you to give us a brief history about yourself at a regular club meeting.

Requirements

All members must currently hold or be retired from an executive, professional, managerial, proprietary or community job position. Members must also have demonstrated a commitment to their community through service, and live or work within 20 miles of the club.
